Heading to the Highlands

From Nha Trang we headed inland to Boun Ma Thout which is a place not a lot of tourist choose to spend time. Its pretty much just a working Vietnamese town with no fancy beaches or banana pancakes to offer. I was lucky enough to get to stay with a local family I had no idea what anyone was saying but I have not eaten that much food in a long time. They stuff you just Italians and then give you more food! It was great I tried a lot of strange fake meat products.

We went "fishing" which in Vietnam apparently means hanging out around manicured pools stocked with fish, eating and drinking... excellent.

I caught none of these fish :(

Flower Shop

The purpose of our visit to Buon Ma Thuot was make our way to Yok Don National Park which was quite, green, and full of water buffalo.

Yok Don was a nice change of pace, although the nearest village was a little touristy at first glance. If you take a walk down the road you soon pass the shops selling every useless item you could imagine and can take a look at long houses, old dudes smoking, and country life.
